Princess Tower is an erotic , kinky trainer game made in Ren'py that focuses on extremely interactive h-scenes. It also tries to have a few good jokes somewhere in there. :)
The player takes on the role of Frim of Coombmere, a hedge wizard in the employ of the Dark Imperium, tasked with taking care of Princess Ariane in order for the Dark Imperium to tighten its grasp on conquered territories. Frim decides that the best way to approach this task is to train obedience and submission - and if that training involves a little kinky sex, all the better.
The game is currently about halfway through development. The current word count is around 50, 000.

Judging from the last Patreon update he managed to get a job as a game developer & from what I've heard from people who've worked for game studios, many studios ban side projects and even when they dont, it often sucks the life out you and leaves no mental energy to do anything other than vegetate when you have free time.

the story is really good. however thats as far as free goes apparently. the updates seem to be live on patreon so us poor folk will have to make do. their dynamic is really kinda cute at times
there have been no updates on patreon in over a year... so you aren't missing anything

For anyone just finding this game, their patreon public release is often a version ahead of their itch public release if you want to take a few moments to search and get more content.

Trying to do the intro but when it comes to the spanking part spanking doesnt do anything, and it wont let me end the interaction. I have her skirt but but thats all I can do. I can see the 4 spots to hit with a ruler but clicking doesnt affect anything.

Ok, thank you for the hint - I figured it out now. You have to click and hold the ruler, then drag the mouse away to the side (the ruler won't follow the mouse), then release the button to get a smack.
You have to drag the mouse to the same side you are on. So either from her left buttock to the left, or from her right buttock to the right.
Let's just say that this was _not_ intuitive for me...
Hey Euphemismus, I've been following this game for a while now, and not gonna lie, I was getting kind of worried that there hadn't been any updates for several months. Thought you might have had personal issues or abandoned the project, so seeing the update to version 0.9 was a pleasant surprise. Made an account just so I could comment this. Happy to see that you're still working on it, and hope you're doing okay. The character have really grown on me, and I'm looking forward to where it goes in the future. Take care.

Mountain copper absorbs it all for the minerals to recharge itself and maintain the spell. Some does inevitably escape, especially when the magic is fully charged; that, she can wipe with a towel.
Not sure how useful the tease action is, as you can't punish her without a reason, which is mutually exclusive with the tease action.
Oh, nevermind - just reached the end of 0.7.
Also, not sure if this is you or itch, but I cannot install 0.7 from the itch browser. I can still download from a web browser, but installing from itch causes issues. I am on linux, if that means anything.

Huh, this is strange, I opened the code for v.0.5.hotfix1 and it quite clearly says "$ ari_droplets = 2", did you by any chance install v.0.5 into the same directory as an earlier version, overwriting existing files? The 2 droplets should allow you to raise 🔥 to 3 and access new content. :)
Just cuz, I reinstalled 0.4, and all four locations are available to spank and rub. Three spanks to each to cap her reaction. On the Dominance path. I didn't run up the heart path to check.
O.4 and 0.5 Zero droplet gain.
Will do a fresh install and try a new game now that 0.6 is out.

Interesting, that particular screenshot is a basic Renpy choice menu, not one that I built. What platform is this on? PC/Linux/Mac?
Okay. I'm sorry you're stuck with this, but unfortunately I can't provide a quick fix. :( It seems like it might have something to do with setup, rather than a bug in the code (in other words - I can't reproduce this on my machine). But I'll look into it and ask around on the Renpy discord.
Can you tell me if the red boxes included in the image were drawn by you or shown in-game? Did the same issue crop up elsewhere? Does it only show up if the game shows a choice menu (like the one in the screenshot) or does it affect all buttons?
Oh, actually, if you can handle the choice menu being ugly, I have a workaround for you that will at least let you play the game:
In the directory "Princess_Tower-v.0.5.hotfix1-pc\game\scripts_mechanical" is a file named "gui.rpy". Lines 219 and 220 of this file are:
define gui.choice_button_text_idle_color = gui.idle_color
define gui.choice_button_text_hover_color = gui.hover_color
You can delete those lines and copypaste the following as lines 219, 220, and 221 (it actually doesn't matter where any of the lines are in the file, but whatever):
define gui.choice_button_text_idle_color = "#aaa"
define gui.choice_button_text_outlines = [(1, "#000", 0, 0)]
define gui.choice_button_text_hover_color = "#fff"
This will end up looking pretty jank and probably mouse hover will be a bit jank (you might have to hover the text itself instead of the button area), but the text should be a light color with a dark outline and thus legible.
That help to read some text but not all.

End of content is immediately after spanking scene and end of content is marked as such. Some comments from players appear to suggest that the spank scene badly needs a help/tutorial screen, and one will be added next update (sometime next week). Here it is:

Did "clicking/pressing keys" include dragging the mouse in the 4 places the ruler was previewed? If so, then this seems to be a bug I need to write down and investigate on linux.
I've had some trouble setting up a testing environment for linux (ironically, because Windows is being difficult), so I don't have a fix yet; but your report is in my bug tracker (also known as "a .txt file I have") now and I'll have to check it out soon-ish. I don't have any tips for screen recording on linux, either.
